Here is a little sentence to make you think: “How many times will you have to die before you truly feel alive?”.
When I first heard this phrase, I felt I needed to capture it and dig into what it truly meant, at least for me. I spent moments in simple observation, discernment and connection with these words and as each of them sunk deeper in me, I could realize the depth with which this few words had on me.
Each of our moments of awakening is aliveness. The pain is the gate that leads to it. Suffering is the resistance we offered when we choose not to open the door.
PaIn is inevitable for growth. Suffering is unnecessary. Aliveness is the source of our creative power, our sense of ultimate connection, our deepest truth experienced. Aliveness gives us the fuel we need to live our life uncompromisingly. It harvests our sense of self in the now and moves it into the next now in complete surrender.
How many times per day are you letting yourself die by accepting less than what you deserve? Embracing less than what you love? Expressing less than what you feel? This is holding back. This is preventing life from flowing. This is a little death.
Ask yourself these 3 essential questions and walk your life with aliveness:
- What do I truly need now?
- What am I holding back now?
- What do I truly wish to share now?
